Inertia takes us to the public space to discover a fallen tile, an empty volume abandoned to its own circular trajectory... Set in motion by two tightrope walkers, the story is written with the help of gravity: a duo in reflection that seeks the balance of the form, in suspension, or, on the contrary, provoking imbalance, dynamics and rotation. Walk through this estretre double camine, còncau i convex, generating unexpected movements where elegance and poetry meet control and skill. Between installation and performance, circus and dance, these two cases and their metallic company create a new visual and circus gesture, in which each one looks at his own choice, playful or geometric, scientific or oneiric.
Inertie, premiering in June 2022, unites two circus artists and a sculptor to build, develop and inhabit a giant mobile sculpture that evolves in public space. Once set in motion, two tightrope walkers walk this double narrow path, concave and convex, generating unexpected movements where elegance and poetry meet control and dexterity.
Nancy, France
Since 2011, the company Underclouds has developed an imaginative vocabulary based on the figure of the tightrope walker, the tightrope walker, the tightrope walker.... It is around walking on a cable and on the ceiling at different heights that they develop their shows, performances, creations on site... on the edge of the knife, on the edge of the abyss and so close to the flight.
